What does that mean?

  • We aim to gain an in depth understanding of your business, if that is appropriate, and of your insurance requirements.
  • We explain what cover you will have under the policy that we recommend and why that insurer, in our opinion, offers the best covers for your circumstances.
  • We will always check that any contract that we offer is as good as, or better than, any existing cover that you may have and if there are differences in cover we will do our best to clarify where these are and establish whether they have any effect on your requirements.
  • In the event of a claim, we will explain that insurers are always seeking the ‘one insured event’ that resulted in the claim.
  • If a surveyor visits or a loss adjuster visits we will do our best to attend to ensure that you have every opportunity to understand exactly what is said and why.
  • We always endeavour to issue renewals sufficiently in advance of the renewal date to give you an opportunity to raise any queries. However, this is subject to our receiving these from insurers.
  • We have specialists in every area of general insurance and therefore we are always willing to spend time to explain your policy and to deal with any concerns that you may have.
  • We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and therefore adhere closely to their requirements in all aspects of our service, including making every effort to ensure that we ‘treat customers fairly’. To this end we may ask you to complete a client survey to provide us with some documentary evidence that we are complying.
  • Any query that you have or help that you think we might be able to offer, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Where claims do arise, if you do not have the relevant tradesman that you know and trust, we provide insurance cover to a number of trades and can put you in touch.
  • We are only ever as good as our last quote and our last claim, but we do make every effort to ensure that you understand the cover you have is relevant to your circumstances.
